Part 2
Continued from Part1

The phone ringing woke them up. With a groan, Joe rolled over and answered it. "LaFiamma." He listened for a few minutes then said, "Okay. We'll be right there."

Lundy raised up and leaned in for a good morning kiss.

Joe let him have it, lingering in his lover's embrace for several long moments before drawing back to say, "That was Annie. Lab reports are back on the IV they had the woman on. She thinks we oughta see them. And the Lieutenant. wants details on how we wanna handle the meet with d'Saville so she'll know what kinda paperwork we're gonna need." He reached up to caress Levon's face, "We gotta go, Cowboy. Sorry."

"'S'okay." Lundy sighed. "But I gotta admit that I kinda thought that with you on vacation we might have a little more time together."

LaFiamma chuckled. "I guess I just ain't the vacationing kind."

Lundy grinned back as he got up to dress. "Just one more thing we got in common, Huh?"

"Yeah."

An hour later they were in Beaumont's office. She tossed the lab report Annie had given her on the desk. "According to this, they had her on a cocktail of drugs, the combined effects of which would be that she would appear delusional and paranoid."

"Fits with what Slikowski and Paulsen told us. 'Parently the only way her husband could get control of her money was if there were no children and she were declared incompetent. If she were declared incompetent but there were a child then the money would go into trust for the kid except for enough money to pay for her care. If she dies childless the money reverts to her father since it's in a revocable trust fund."

"So he hires Slikowski and Paulsen to kidnap his pregnant wife. They're to keep her until the baby is born. He sends the doctor to deliver the baby, kill it, and drug up his wife so that she will appear incompetent. Then Slikowski and Paulsen are to return her to him so that he can have her committed and apply to the court to appoint him her guardian giving him control of her money." Beaumont shook her head, "God! That's cold blooded."

"You got that right." LaFiamma said.

"But Slikowski and Paulsen are co-operating, so why do you two want to go in as them? Wouldn't it be better to send them in with wires?"

"Can't trust'm, Joanne. They might try to run ... or warn the guy somehow. Even with a deal they're lookin' at hard time. Kidnappin', attempted murder, conspiring to commit murder. All counts carry hard time. They're looking at fifteen to twenty years even with concurrent sentences and time off if they behave themselves ... and these two ain't never done time before. Can't find no priors here or in California."

"But are you sure the guy doesn't know what they look like?"

"They never met him. According to them everything was arranged over the phone." LaFiamma said.

"But the doctor knows and he could be coming with d'Saville. " Beaumont said thoughtfully. "I don't like it. My gut says this guy would not have picked two total strangers. He'd want to know something about them. Maybe everything about them. " She sat for a long moment, idly tapping her pencil on the desk, then said. "I don't see the doctor's name in here ... ."

"They claim that he never gave them a name. They just called him Doc. There's a good description in there though. We've been tryin' to match it with doctors that've had their licenses pulled here and in California. Mainly California. Figured d'Saville was more likely to know one there." Lundy explained. "Truth is Joanne, these two don't seem like hardened criminals ... more like just desperate."

Joanne nodded, "They did confess and tell us everything that they knew. If they continue to co-operate I'll talk to the DA. In the meantime, they are supposed to meet him in the RV. We'll let them--"

"Lieutenant!" LaFiamma protested.

"Let me finish, Joe!" Beaumont gave him an exasperated look. "They'll wear wires and be the ones that get up close to the guy. You two will be in the RV with them. Plenty of room to conceal yourselves in that thing. That way if anything goes wrong you'll be right there. We won't be able to get in real close considering when and where the meet is set for."

"Might be a good idea for us all to be wearing vests, too, Joanne." Lundy put in.

Beaumont turned to give him a questioning look.

"Occurred to me. Once he gets the key and the name of the motel where they were supposed to leave her, he's got no more use for'm. A man that'd have his own kid killed ain't gonna choke on killin' accomplices. I'd just feel better if we covered the possibility that he might be coming with the intent to get rid of witnesses."

"He's right." LaFiamma said simply.

Lundy grinned, "You actual agree with me about something, LaFiamma. You musta forgot to take your contrary pill this morning."

Beaumont shook her head at their teasing, "Okay. Wires and vests for four. You might want to explain to Slikowski and Paulsen why they'll be wearing vests." She turned back to the work on her desk them looked up again, "Get an update on the woman from the hospital. I'd really like more information than we have on this. If she can be questioned go do it."

"Yes, Ma'am," Lundy answered for both of them.

At the hospital, Dr. Klineman greeted them, "She is conscious now but you may not be able to get any information from her." He told them as he led them into the woman's room. "The drugs that she was on have left her confused and disoriented. She is convinced that everyone is involved in a conspiracy to keep her baby from her. We've had to restrain her to keep her from trying to escape."

LaFiamma was a little surprised to see that the nurse tending the woman was the same one that had been in the ER when he brought the baby in the night before but he didn't say anything about it.

Lundy made the introductions then said, "Ma'am, I know that you've been through a lot but if you'd just tell us everything that you can remember we'd really appreciate it."

"Those men took my baby! I remember struggling with them in an alley! I need to know what happened to my baby! Nobody will tell me anything! Please! Do you know? Why won't anybody do anything about my baby?" She was practically hysterical.

Lundy started to say, "Ma'am we can't ... "

LaFiamma pushed past him and moved to the bedside, taking the woman's hand, "Mrs. d'Saville, I was in the alley when the men who had you dumped a baby there. That baby is safe and sound right here in this hospital but Social Services has jurisdiction over her now 'cause when we brought her in we didn't know who her parents were or anything." He hesitated then glancing at the nurse who was still hovering he added, "You can ask Monica. She was in the ER when I brought the baby in."

Monica smiled at her and confirmed what LaFiamma had said. "Sergeant. LaFiamma did bring a newborn into the ER last night. She is here and doing very well. As he said Social Services has jurisdiction until her parents can be identified."

LaFiamma turned back to the woman, "I'm really sorry that we can't just bring her to you but until we can positively identify her as your baby, we can't do that. Social Services won't allow it. But our forensics expert is running DNA test right now. Soon as they're back and prove that you're her mother I will personally see to it that you get your baby back." He looked deep into her eyes, willing her to trust him, talk to him. "In the meantime, the best thing you can do to help get your baby back is tell us exactly what happened."

She still hesitated, looking up at him.

"Ma'am," Lundy said waiting till she looked at him to continue, "You could start with your name. We need to confirm it."

"Oh, of course. d'Saville. Mrs. Raymond d'Saville."

"What are you called, your first name?" LaFiamma asked.

"Andrea." She smiled suddenly and it changed her whole face, "My friends call me Andi."

Visibly calming, she clutched LaFiamma's hand looking up at him for a long moment, she said "I remember seeing someone in the alley. It could have been you ... you had on a sweater, didn't you? A dark color ... blue or black with a lighter color design."

"Yeah, dark blue with turquoise design." LaFiamma smiled at her still holding her hand.

Lundy held back watching, LaFiamma had a real way with women. Sometimes it made him jealous but he tried to tell himself that his partner was just doing what was necessary to calm the woman and get her to talk to them.

"Now, if you could just try to remember everything that happened," Joe gently prodded, smiling down at her.

"I ... it happened so fast. I was shopping. I had just come out of this little boutique. I was buying baby things. I put the packages in the car ... went around to get in but there was a van double parked right next to me. I went to ask them to move and a man grabbed me. Oh! That was in L.A. You said this was Houston. Didn't you?"

"Yes, Ma'am," Lundy answered moving closer, "Could you describe the man?"

" Yes. The one that forced me into the van was blonde, about the same height as my husband. He's six foot one. The other one had darker hair. I didn't see him right away. The one that grabbed me put something over my face. It smelled odd. I must have passed out. When I came to we were in the RV parked somewhere. The two men looked alike, perhaps brothers or cousins. I thought they were going to kill me since they never tried to conceal their identities. They never sent a ransom demand, either. Someone paid them to kidnap me. I heard them talking on the phone. They weren't making demands, just getting orders. Then there was the doctor that came to deliver the baby and put that IV in my arm. He was a real slimeball. The other two, they didn't seem that bad ... I mean they never hurt me or anything. They tried to get me anything I wanted except they wouldn't let me go. They got very upset when the doctor told them to get rid of the baby. I think that they weren't expecting to have to actually hurt anyone."

"Can you think of anyone who might pay to have you kidnapped?" LaFiamma asked gently.

"No! I mean ... no! He'd never do that!"

"Who, Mrs. d'Saville? Your husband? Is that who you're thinking of?" LaFiamma demanded.

"LaFiamma!" Lundy cautioned, knowing that his partner wasn't supposed to ask leading questions.

"Raymond? No! I ... oh, I don't know ... I don't want to think he'd do anything like this ... but we have been having ... problems."

"What kind of problems, Ma'am?" Lundy asked.

She didn't answer for a minute then sighed and said, "Financial problems, and family problems. Raymond made some bad investments, lost his inheritance. I had a trust fund my father gave to me. It's more than enough to live on, not as lavishly as Raymond would like. We'd have to give up our house, move some where smaller but we'd be secure ... if we just leave it like it is and live off the income from it. Raymond wanted me to turn it over to him, let him run it." She looked up at LaFiamma. "I couldn't risk it. What if he lost the money? We had a baby on the way! What would happen to us if he lost my money like he did his? You understand don't you? I couldn't let him have it!"

"I understand," LaFiamma said, "but I take it that he didn't?"

"He was furious! Yelled and cursed at me! He even hit me once! I spoke to my father about getting a divorce."

"How long before you were kidnapped was this? Did you tell your husband you wanted a divorce?"

"A couple of weeks ... and yes I did tell Raymond. He was angry about that too."

Lundy and LaFiamma exchanged a look. It sounded like a motive to them.

After a few more questions they thanked Mrs. d'Saville and left.

They stood outside talking for a few minutes then headed for the elevator.

They were almost to it when Monica caught up to them, "Sergeant. LaFiamma!" She called, smiling as he turned to her, "There's a call for you at the nurses station."

LaFiamma smiled back and said "Thanks, Monica."

Lundy watched the exchange, unable to keep from wondering if Monica was interested in LaFiamma.

When they reached the nurses station LaFiamma picked up the phone, "LaFiamma ... Hi, Annie ... You did? That's great! Hey, you get me the paperwork and I'll take care of Social Services! Thanks, Annie! Bye."

He hung up and turned to Lundy with a grin, "Annie finished the DNA tests. The baby is Mrs. d'Saville's. All we gotta do is get Social Services to release the baby to her."

"Might not be that easy, LaFiamma. It is Christmas Eve."

"Yeah, but we know somebody in Social Services. Don't we?"

"Janice Halstead."

"Huh-huh ... and she owes us. We went to bat for her with her bosses over the Sims thing." LaFiamma grinned. They had become pretty good friends with the woman during the long drawn out trial she had testified in. Gonzales' lawyers had tried every trick they knew to get him off and they had known quite a few.

In the Jimmy, Lundy hesitated before he cranked the vehicle. He stared out the windshield then taking a deep breath and trying to keep his voice casual he said, "You like that nurse, Monica. Don't you?"

"Yeah. Sure I do, Lundy. She's a nice lady." LaFiamma said then seeing the expression or rather the lack of expression on Lundy's face his voice softened. "Not like that, Lundy." Reaching over and caressing Lundy's face he added, "You're the only one I like, like that, Cowboy."

Lundy turned to look at him. "I keep tellin' myself that."

"Then it's time you started believing it. We've been together for more than two years now. I love you." He shook his head and sighed. "Look, Levon, we both have a lot of friends, male and female. Our job requires us to ... cultivate people, get them to like us, help us, talk to us, and tell us things we need to know. Sometimes cultivating somebody can and does look like flirting and I gotta admit that sometimes when I see you working a witness, especially a good looking woman, I get a little jealous. I wonder for just a minute if maybe you're thinking about something besides work ... I wonder if you're thinking how much easier life would be if we didn't have to hide our love, didn't have to pretend that we're just buddies ... but it's just for a minute. I trust you. I believe that you would never hurt me like that ... and I hope that you know that I would never hurt you like that."

"I'm sorry, Joe." Levon's voice was soft and sad, "It's just ... I still find it so hard to believe that you love me, really love me. I ... " He stared back out the windshield for a long moment, "You just can't understand. You always knew that you was loved ... that you was wanted. Your folks ... from what you've told me, they loved each other something fierce and they loved all you kids. Was happy every time one of you was born." He bowed his head and swallowed hard trying to blink back tears.

Joe shifted in the seat reaching out to him, "Levon, don't ... you ain't gotta tell me. It's all right."

"It ain't all right, dammit! I want you to know why it's so hard for me to believe that you love me. I ... My momma was pregnant when my folks got married ... pregnant with me. They had to get married ... back then ... a guy got his girl pregnant he married her. My dad never forgave my momma for getting pregnant. Said she ruined his life. Blamed it all on her ... and she ... I always felt like she blamed me for her being chained to him. I felt like neither one of'um wanted me ... cared anything about me. Mother Minnie and Granddaddy tried to make up for it but ... it ain't the same. I married Caroline because she made me feel like I was wanted ... but in the end it weren't me she wanted ... it was The Star Quarterback, the Football Hero, that she wanted to be married to. When I messed my shoulder up and my career went down the tubes so did our marriage. I feel like nobody has ever loved me, for me. I wanna believe you do ... but it's hard, Joe. It's so hard."

Joe looked at him for a long time, expressionless and silent.

It was one of the most disconcerting habits that he had. It always made Lundy nervous as hell and now was no exception. He knew that Joe was thinking, deciding exactly how to say what he wanted to say but the silence and the utter lack of expression on Joe's face made him crazy. He shivered suddenly as if someone had stepped on his grave and unable to face that look another second he reached for the ignition.

"No." Joe reached out and caught his hand, drawing it to him. "No. Look at me." He said gently, using his other hand to turn Levon's face toward him. "Listen to me. I don't know how to prove to you that I love you but I think that I understand what you're feeling. You're feeling like you aren't good enough to be loved. That don't make any sense to me 'cause I think you are the most wonderful person I've ever known but it seems like that's what you're saying. And I think that what you're really trying to figure out is why do I love you? Since you don't feel like you deserve love you can't understand why I would love you. That's what this is about isn't it?"

Lundy stared at him in dismay. He would have never had the courage to ask it, but that was exactly what he needed to know.

"Isn't it, Levon?" Joe repeated.

Levon nodded, one quick jerk of his head. "Why?" One word, in a strangled voice, barely audible.

"Because you love me."

"What?"

"I love you because you love me. You think that I am the greatest. You're crazy about me. My Mom used to say that love is the one thing that the more of it you give it away the more of it you get back. You make me feel like I am the most important person in the universe, like the sun and the moon and the stars revolve around me. How could I not love you?"

"I ... I don't know what to say. I'm not sure that I understand." Levon whispered. "I just ..."

"Okay." Joe's voice was quiet and soothing, "It's okay. You don't understand and I can't explain so let's try something else. Do you believe that I love you today?"

Levon looked into Joe's eyes. They were so soft, so gentle, loving and sincere. "Yes," He nodded slightly, "Yeah. I can believe that you love me today."

"Then that's all you gotta do. 'Cause today is all we have, Levon. It's all anybody has. Nobody can say for certain that they will see tomorrow and us being cops we have even less certainty that we will be here tomorrow. So, I will love you one day at a time and you can believe that I love you one day at a time ...forever."

"One day at a time." Levon repeated the words in a whisper.

"Forever." Joe affirmed. He drew Levon to him claiming his mouth in a passionate kiss, oblivious to the fact that they were sitting in the hospital parking lot in broad daylight.

Levon came to him eagerly, shifting to push himself into Joe's arms, clinging to his lover, everything forgotten except the raw passion of his partner's kisses.

Joe tugged on him pulling him across the seat till he was sitting in Joe's lap. Joe's hands pulled at his shirt trying to get to bare skin.

Suddenly there was a sharp rapping on the window and a loud voice declared, "Hey! Get a room! This is a public place! Jeezzz!"
By the time that they broke apart and turned to look whoever it was, was walking away. All they could see was his back, but the mood was broken and with a chuckle Lundy climbed back over to his side of the Jimmy.

They both straightened their clothes.

"Reckon you wanna stop by Janice's office, huh?" Lundy asked.

"Yeah,"

Half an hour later, Lundy found himself trying to referee a shouting match between his partner and Janice Halstead.

"I'm sorry, LaFiamma. I really am but I can't release the baby to Mrs. d'Saville under the circumstances."

"Janice! The woman needs to see her baby! She's hysterical with worry! You've got the DNA report. It's her baby, I don't understand the problem!"

"The problem is that Mrs. d'Saville is confined to the psychiatric ward, under restraints! She's not competent at this time to take custody of the child. The fact that it's her child is irrelevant! I can not release any child to the custody of a mother who is currently being held in restraints in the psychiatric ward of the hospital." Janice Halstead yelled right back at LaFiamma.

Lundy stepped between his partner and the social worker. "LaFiamma. Back off." He turned to the social worker, "Janice, could you let Mrs. d'Saville at least see the baby. You could take her in yourself, wouldn't even have to let her hold it. Just seeing the baby would help to reassure her. Make it plain that when she's well enough the baby will be released to her custody."

Janice sat down at her desk, "That I could approve. But I will have to be there and I will be the one to say when the visit ends. If Mrs. d'Saville becomes agitated or otherwise displays inappropriate behavior I will end the visit immediately. Is that clearly understood?"

"Yes, ma'am." Lundy said. "Thank you, Janice."

"It'll take a couple of hours to get the paperwork done and a visit approved. I take it you two want to be there?" She looked at Joe.

He nodded. "Thanks, Janice. I'm sorry. I know you got your job to do but this means a lot to me. I donno how to explain it but ... I found the baby and I feel ...responsible, like I gotta get her save back to her mom. Make sure that everything works out okay."

"I understand, Joe. I'm really sorry that I can't just do what you want but I have rules to follow, just like you do as a cop."

"I know." Joe smiled at her, "Forgive me for being so ... you know."

She laughed softly, "I forgive you. I know it's just that you care so much."

Lundy reached across the desk to shake her hand goodbye, "We'll see you at the hospital in, oh, say two hours?"

Janice looked at her watch. "That'll be about time for me to get off work. I'll stop by on the way home."

In the Jimmy, Levon turned to Joe, "Where to, now?"

"We got a couple of hours till we meet Janice at the hospital and the meet with Mr. d'Saville ain't till ten thirty. We don't have to be at the station to get ready for that till about nine or nine-thirty." He sighed, "I need to run some errands. Drop me by where I parked the Cobra. I'll meet you at the hospital in a couple of hours."

"I could take you where you need to go, LaFiamma ..." He trailed off at the look his partner gave him," ... but let me guess, you've got to go shopping for my present."

LaFiamma laughed, "Nope. Just got to pick it up and get it wrapped."

"Same difference. You don't want me along."

"True. Sorry, Cowboy."

"It's all right. I'll find out what you got me soon enough. Hope it ain't some electronic gizmo. Got enough of them."

"You trying to get me to give you a hint, Lundy? It ain't gonna work. I can keep a secret." He glanced up to see where they were, "Take the next left, Cobra should be right around the corner."

It was. Lundy watched as LaFiamma climbed out of the Jimmy and into the little sports car.

"Will wonders never cease," He muttered, "If I'd a left the Jimmy sitting on the street that long it'd a been stripped bare."

An hour and a half later Lundy was waiting patiently when LaFiamma arrived at the hospital. Dropping into the seat next to Lundy, he asked, "Janice showed yet?"

"Ain't been two hours, yet. She'll be here. You get your ... shopping done."

LaFiamma chuckled softly, "I told you, Lundy. The shopping part was already done."

The gleam in his eyes made Lundy wonder if he should be worried about what his lover had gotten him. Joe definitely seemed delighted with whatever it was which could mean that his unusual sense of humor had kicked in and Lundy had better be careful opening his gift. [No telling what the Boy's up to.] He remembered something Uncle Mikey had said when he and his wife, Teresa had come down for Joe's birthday concerning Joe having once given one of his sisters a boa constrictor for Christmas. Joe still refused to explain that one except to say she musta liked it since she still had it.

He was still thinking about that when Janice Halstead, came into the waiting area along with a tall distinguished looking man that she introduced as her fiancé, Eric Van Ross.

The four of them went up to the floor that Mrs. d'Saville was on and Janice saw to the paperwork of granting the visit. It was more than a half hour before Monica finally appeared with the baby and led them into Mrs. d'Saville's room.

Motioning for Monica to wait a moment, Janice moved to Mrs. d'Saville's bedside. "Mrs. d'Saville, I'm Janice Halstead, the social worker assigned to your daughter's case. I need to ask you a couple of questions before I can let you see your daughter. Do you understand?"

"I understand what you're saying but I don't understand why I can't see my baby!"

"Ma'am, please don't get upset. I really want to let you see your daughter but if you become agitated I will have to terminate the visit. I'll have no choice. Those are the rules. Now. I'm going to let Monica bring your daughter over here to you and it you promise to stay on the bed and remain calm I'll ask her to release your restraints for the duration of the visit. Do you understand this?"

"Yes. I promise! Please just let me hold her!"

"All right." She turned and nodded to Monica.

Monica started toward the bed then stopped, turning to LaFiamma, "Joe, you're the one that saved this little one would you like to give her to her mother?"

"Could I?" Joe looked from Monica to Janice, "Would it be all right with you?"

Janice smiled. "Of course, Joe."

Joe eagerly went to Monica's side holding out his arms for the baby. Monica gently placed her in his arms then went to release Mrs. d'Saville's restraints.

As soon as the restraints were off, Mrs. d'Saville sat up and held out her arms for her baby.

Joe walked to the bed and carefully placed the child in her mother's arms.

Mrs. d'Saville clutched the baby to her, "Oh, Lord! Thank you! Thank you, God!" Tears ran down her face as she kissed the baby's head and then laying it back in her arms began to caress it's face and check the tiny hands and feet. "She's beautiful, so beautiful!" She looked up at the smiling faces surrounding them, "Thank you! Thank you all so much. I thought I'd never see her again! I didn't even know that my baby was a girl till you told me."

Levon stepped closer, to stand beside LaFiamma, "Have you thought of a name?" He asked.

"I ... actually I haven't. Raymond and I never did agree on a name." She looked down at the baby again, smiling through her tears. After a moment she looked up at Joe. "If it weren't for you, Sergeant. I wouldn't have my baby back. I might not even be here myself. Would you name her? Please." She reached out and took his hand.

LaFiamma turned to look at Levon, searching his partner's face for support.

"Go on. Pick a name, LaFiamma." Lundy prodded.

Reassured that Lundy didn't mind Joe turned back to Mrs. d'Saville, "How about ... Rose?" He suggested tentatively.

"I like that ... but babies usually get two given names." Mrs. d'Saville looked at him hopefully.

LaFiamma looked from her to Lundy, studying his partner's face for a moment before turning back to her, "Caroline." He whispered, "Caroline Rose d'Saville."

Monica smiled down at Mrs. d'Saville, "That's a lovely name."

"Yes, yes it is. Thank you Sergeant." She looked down at the baby, "Caroline Rose d'Saville. It's a beautiful name and you are a beautiful baby and I love you." She looked up at Janice, "How long can I keep her?"

"We'll let her stay here a while longer then she has to go back to the nursery. As soon as the doctors release you, I'll release her into your custody but until then she has to stay in the nursery. You can see her everyday of course."

"I understand."

As the women talked LaFiamma looked around and realized that Lundy had left. He went looking for him, finding him standing staring out the window of the waiting area.

"Lundy, are you okay? You aren't mad are you? About ... I mean ..." He stepped up close behind his partner, laying a hand on his shoulder.

"No, no I ain't mad, LaFiamma. Just kinda took me by surprise." He turned to look into Joe's eyes. "You didn't have to do that. I 'preciate it ... but you didn't have ta ..."

"I wanted to, Levon." There was no one else in the waiting room and Joe stepped closer, taking Levon into his arms, "I just didn't want you to be upset. I wanted you to be happy about it."

"I am, Joe. I am." Levon rested in his lover's arms for a minute then drew back to look at his watch, "The party at Chicken's started at six. It's close to seven now. Reckon we got time to stop by for a few minutes if you wanna before the meet with Mr. d'Saville."

"Yeah, I suppose we oughta." He didn't sound happy.

"What's'a matter?"

"Uncle Mikey was supposed to bring Chicken's present when he came down."

"What in tarnation would Uncle Mikey know to bring Chicken?"

"I asked him to see if he could find that part Chicken's been hunting for that old motorcycle of his, the Indian. Uncle Mikey said that he had it but what with the accident and all I don't reckon I'll get it in time to give it to Chicken for Christmas."

"Sorry. But if you actually have the right part, I don't think that Chicken'll mind a bit if it's late coming. He's real fond of that old bike."

"Yeah, but it ain't the same giving it after Christmas ... and I didn't know what else to get him."

"Don't worry 'bout it. I got him something. We'll tell him it's from both of us."
