Poll:
Would you be willing to download & install another (free) reader if it meant fic could be formatted (bold, italics, etc)?
Results:
39 votes total, 31 (79%) yes, 8 (21%) no
Conclusion:
Most of y'all would be willing to download and install another reader. However, during the period of time this poll ran, I discovered the following:
The two programs that I would not hesitate to recommend for reading formatted text, iSilo and MobiPocket, each have a drawback. The iSilo reader is not free, tho it has a Macintosh converter, and MobiPocket, which is free, does not have a Macintosh converter. As I am using a Macintosh, things here at Fries are going to stay the way they are. Fic will be formatted using the pretty-darn-near-universal Palm doc format (which just about every reader program can handle). If I need to use another program for formatting, for whatever reason, information will be made available on the relevant page - along with links to the proper readers.
     Thanks for participating.
