You Want Fries with That? is a collection of fanfiction specially formatted to be easily added to your PalmOS (Palm, Handspring Visor, Sony Clié, TRG Pro, Handera, IBM Workpad), Apple Newton, HP Palmtop, Psion/EPOC PDA, TI Avigo, Franklin eBookman or WinCE handheld device.

This site is on indefinite hold. I won't be updating anytime in the forseeable future, either. I've just lost my incentive, I guess. If and when I regain that incentive, I'll start working on the site again. However, I won't be taking it down, so all the current stories will stay available. Sorry about this, but I'd be willing to guess y'all had figured it out on your own, as it's been a year since the last update. ::grin::

Downloading:
The files on this site should download correctly simply by clicking on them. If there's a problem, please let me know.

The stories on this web site are specially formatted to be read on a Palm Pilot or similar hand-held computer (PDA). They are NOT readable on the web (meaning desktop/laptop computer or webtv). All the stories archived at this site are available in web-readable format elsewhere. At the top of each author's page, you'll see a web link (URL). Click on that to get to the author's page and find the stories in a readable format.

There are several programs, both free and otherwise, that can read (the majority of) the fic at this site. An extensive list can be found at PalmGear. Some of the fic at Fries requires specific readers; these are indicated, and links to the software are included. For more information, and more specific links to reader programs, check out my page on how to convert stories.

Windows users: Netscape 4.x sometimes renames downloaded document files from their appropriate extensions (*.PDB) and changes them to *.exe - PLEASE rename the files you download to *.PDB as appropriate. There are NO *.exe document files in the Fries archives.

Newton Users: Here is some information I found on converting stories to Newton format.

Mac Users:
Get Sync Buddy
Just drop Palm databases & applications in the handheld window to install them without running HotSync.		   Windows users:
Get pInstall
Install Palm Pilot Software WITHOUT HotSyncing. Click on any prc, pqa or pdb file & push the HotSync button. That's all.
