"Why can't I eat?" Ezra asked himself as he pushed his peas around once more.

He sighed and gave up on eating his food, finally pushing his plate away with a sigh.

He had been undercover and away from his love for two weeks now.

He missed waking up in Josiah's strong arms. He missed the sound of his deep rumbling voice reminding him that he was loved. He even missed the smell of Josiah's chili cooking on the stove.

Ezra let out another sigh as he picked up his plate and cleaned it off.

He looked out across the nighttime Denver landscape and touched the window with his hand as he whispered softly, "I miss you, My Love."

He then walked out the door and into a trap.
